In 2005, Aspire acquired its first company, Interweave Press (www.interweave.com), then a 30 -year-old leading craft magazine and book publisher based in Loveland, Colorado. At the time, Interweave published seven magazines and about 150 books for knitters, yarn spinners, beading, and fiber art enthusiasts. Today, Interweave owns and operates 15 consumer art and craft magazines; more than 30 special newsstand publications; 350 craft books; 33 websites; 10 online communities; an e-commerce store; 11 consumer events; video workshops; and owns and/or sponsors 3 craft television series on public television.
And Interweave is now a market leader in art quilting, jewelry making, painting, drawing, crochet, mixed media, and sewing.
Interweave’s mission is to inspire, encourage, and support creative self-expression through art and craft media.
